In a surprising crossover event that breaks usual forecasts, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including free additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Uncovered

According to the official announcement, "An unusual meeting leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where hints of banned rituals and fearsome transformations reverberate through the darkness." The narrative presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a secret group.

The adventure concentrates on "bizarre tests and a fearsome foe" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Changes

The teaser highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer finishes with a powerful scene showing a character, presumably the captive, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Prizes and Additional Material

Players who finish the quest will acquire an exclusive katana together with several items secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
